Rich Campbell

Composer/Musician/Teacher/Actor


Rich Campbell is a New York City based composer, musician, teacher and actor. His performing credits include studio recordings, film, TV, concerts, club dates, traveling stage shows and even stints on Mississippi riverboats.

An award-winning composer, he's twice been awarded fellowships by the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts. His choral works have been performed by The Manhattan Choral Ensemble, The Young People's Chorus of New York, The Australian Boys Choir, SACRA/PROFANA, VocalEssence, Octarium, The College of St. Rose, The Wasatch Chorale, Voices Boston, among others. He has also written songs and instrumental pieces for various ensembles. His works were included in Center City Opera Theatre's concert "Art Songs of the 21st Century." The quintet, Brass Initiative, recorded his Variations On A Groove. In the theatre, Rich has composed work performed at Dixon Place, P.S. 122, Ensemble Studio Theatre, and in Chicago at the Red Orchid.

As a musician, Rich has performed or recorded with artists as varied as Antigone RisingStephen Lynch, Sam The Sham, The Triplets, Stevie Cochran, and The Blues Jumpers. He has played at prestigious venues from Carnegie Hall to the Montreux Jazz Festival. As a member of the band Cadillac Moon, Rich appeared in the hit film Devil's Advocate. He can also be seen on episodes of Law & Order: Criminal Intent and SMASH.

An avid runner, he has completed 26 marathons (New York-23 consecutive times- '99-'22, Boston, London & San Diego).
